The China Soil Microbiome Initiative (CSMI) and Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative (GSBI) are pleased to announce the second Global Soil Biodiversity Conference (GSBC2) will be held from 15-19 October 2017 in Nanjing, China.
Nanjing city will be the place for the 2nd GBSC. It has long been a national centre of education, research, transport networks and tourism in China. Having been the capital city of six different dynasties since 3 AD, Nanjing city is indeed recognized as one of the Four Greatest Ancient Capitals of China. It has been awarded the title of 2008 Habitat Scroll of Honour of China, Special UN Habitat Scroll of Honour Award and National Civilized City, and was the host city of the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. Nanjing city is indeed one of the four research and education centres in China with 29 public Universities and colleges, and 5 private universities.
